Clinical Trials Lead the Way

Carle Clinic has been involved in research for nearly all of its 75 year history. Carle Clinic physicians have pursued research interests in many disciplines and helped develop many new technologies, procedures and treatment protocols over the years.  Today, the clinic is focused on offering clinical trials that are made available to patients through research grants, national studies, and pharmaceutical company studies.

The Carle Cancer Center has participated in cancer research for over 20 years, and in 1983, was one of the first community cancer facilities in the United States to be designated as a Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP). Through this designation, the Carle Cancer Center is linked directly with the National Cancer Institute’s research endeavors. Learn more about the Carle Cancer Center Research Department here.
