Gastroenterology

Carle Foundation Hospital is funding a research project headed by Dr. Eugene Greenberg, Carle Clinic Association, that is looking at the treatment of patients with Crohn’s disease.

Dr.  Greenberg is working with UI scientists on a new study to search for the root causes of Crohn’s disease and other gastroenterology diseases.  They are working on a three-pronged study that seeks to establish the connection between GI diseases and genetics, bacteria and mucin cells.
