Clinical trials play in important role in testing new pharmaceutical treatments on patients who meet specific criteria.  Carle Foundation Hospital is participating in several clinical trials run by Carle Clinic Association where the hospital is the setting for the research.  Carle Clinic Association conducts hundreds of clinical trials in many specialty areas, including oncology, cardiology, and gastroenterology.
