Salary and Benefit Summary: 

Salary:                       
Intern/PGY-1   annual stipend:  $48,000.00      meal stipend: $1,600

PGY-2             annual stipend:  $49,500.00      meal stipend: $1,600

PGY-3             annual stipend:  $51,500.00      meal stipend: $1,600

PGY-4             annual stipend:  $54,000.00      meal stipend: $1,600

Disability:
Short Term Disability is provided through contract as a salary guarantee through end of the contract year.  Information on how to purchase Long Term Disability through Carle is available from Hospital Personnel.

Health & Dental Plans:
Effective first day of residency.  Health and Dental insurance plan at no cost to employee and dependents.

Tax Deferred Annuity:
All residents are eligible for payroll deduction, prior to the computation of taxes, for purchase of an annuity.  Employee chooses type and size.

Life Insurance:
Residents receive term life of $75,000.  Additional $5,000 for spouse and $2,500 for children to age 19 or 23 if full-time resident.

Conference Allowance: 
Each resident is sent annually to a course designed to augment their education with topics and sessions dependant upon resident experience. 

Malpractice Insurance: Including tail insurance

Meals on call

ACLS and ATLS Courses as needed.

Vacation:
Intern, PGY-1 & PGY-2: receive three weeks of paid vacation. 

PGY-3 & PGY-4: receive four weeks annual paid vacation.

The Chief Resident is given 5 additional days for interviewing and job investigation opportunities.

Miscellaneous:
Direct Deposit  Paychecks may be deposited directly into savings or checking account.
