Carle Foundation Hospital - Senior Needs Assessment
“Besides delivering quality health care to all people, including seniors, we hope to make a positive impact on this growing segment of our population now, especially the poor in our community,” stated James C. Leonard, MD, president and CEO of The Carle Foundation. According to the East Central Illinois Area Agency on Aging, the 60+ population in east central Illinois will increase 69 percent from 138,592 to 234,624 by 2030. Research included a focus group comprised of 14 representatives, current and retired, from senior services and health and human service organizations, as well as three one-on-one interviews with other community partners. This research was managed and reported, and in large part conducted, by Research Survey Service, Inc., Champaign, Illinois.
