Fellowship Strengths
- As a small program we are
able to give personal, one-on-one
attention to our trainees due
to our high faculty-to-fellow
ratio. Our innovative Practice
Management Curriculum prepares
fellows for the outside world.
- Geriatric Fellows have various
rotations at Carle Clinic and
Carle Foundation Hospital. Our
program is integrated with the
area’s many large community
nursing homes.
- Our program prepares fellows
for the Medical Director position
at a nursing home.
- We offer research opportunities
both through Carle Foundation
Hospital and the University
of Illinois.
- Our fellows attend the prestigious
American Geriatrics Society
annual convention.
- Graduates from our program
will be dually certified in
Geriatrics as well as their
Family Medicine or Internal
Medicine specialty.
