Program Description

Carle Foundation Hospital is a sophisticated, tertiary regional referral center with an ever-increasing geriatric patient population. Renowned for our departments of emergency medicine and cardiology, we also have a well-established cancer center conducting original research and participating in national clinical trials.

The Geriatric Fellowship program at Carle Foundation Hospital is a community-based, University-affiliated ACGME accredited program open to graduates from both Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residency Affiliated Programs. We derive stability and diversity from our affiliation with Carle Physician Group — one of the largest multi-specialty group practices in the country — and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Medicine. It is our excellence in facilities, faculty role models and a supportive learning environment that sets us apart.
