Since 1980, thousands of area residents have made Carle Clinic - Rantoul their first choice for health care. From prenatal care to family medicine, Carle Clinic - Rantoul offers the services families use most.

A Wide Range of Services
Carle Clinic - Rantoul offers several important services on-site. Our laboratory helps physicians diagnose and treat patients by looking for indicators of illness or tracking a patient's progress. Nearly 900 patients use Carle Clinic - Rantoul's laboratory services each month.

The Radiology Department (X-ray) helps providers determine the location or extent of an injury while helping many patients avoid a trip to the hospital. Nearly 200 X-ray procedures are performed each month.

In addition to providing routine physicals and care for acute illness, many Carle providers also perform simple office procedures including biopsies, ultrasound, wart removal, vasectomies and flexible sigmoidoscopy.

Options in Patient Care
Carle Clinic - Rantoul has a physician assistant on staff who works in collaboration with your physician to provide easy access and quality, affordable health care. A valuable member of your health care team, physician assistants conduct routine physicals, manage stable chronic illnesses, and provide patient education. If you prefer, you can see the physician assistant for nearly all your health care needs.

Occupational & Environmental Medicine
Carle's Occupational & Environmental Medicine program offers a complete range of services to meet the needs of business and industry. With a branch office based in Carle's Rantoul facility, the Occupational Medicine Department emphasizes prevention, early detection, and treatment of accidents or illnesses that occur at work. Services include treatment of work-related injuries, return-to-work evaluations, alcohol and drug testing, DOT physicals, pre-placement and executive physicals, ergonomic risk assessment and injury prevention services. Clinic Hours
Our office hours follow:
Monday and Wednesday 7a.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday and Friday 7 am to 5 pm

The laboratory is open Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

After Hours
After closing, our voice mail system provides information about obtaining emergency services, as well as quick, push-button access to our Patient Advisory Nurse Service. You may also leave messages regarding appointment cancellations or prescriptions.

Patient Advisory Nurse
One call to the Patient Advisory Nurse number at (217) 383-3233 puts patients and their families in touch with a Carle nursing professional 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week.  Patient Advisory Nurses offer:

  • General health information
  • Nursing assessment of health concerns.  The nurse will direct you to the most appropriate level of care based on physician approved guidelines.
  • First aid and/or home/self care instruction

Therapy Services
Comprehensive outpatient physical and occupational therapy services are available at Carle Clinic - Rantoul. Staffed by licensed physical and occupational therapists, Carle Therapy Services offers nearly all the therapy options a patient might need. Among these services are hand rehabilitation, pain management, general orthopedic/musculoskeletal rehabilitation, arthritis management, functional training, neurological rehabilitation and hydrotherapy.
