Options in Patient Care
The Clinic offers a complete nursing and patient care staff, including nurse practitioners
in family medicine and pediatrics. Our nurse practitioners work in collaborative practice
with the physicians to provide routine medical care. They are qualified to manage stable,
chronic illnesses, conduct routine physicals and provide patient education. If you prefer,
you can see a nurse practitioner for nearly all your health care needs.
Convenient Care
Convenient Care is for both adults and children with conditions too big to ignore, but
that don't require a visit to the Emergency Department. Sports physicals are also
provided. Extended office hours at Carle Clinic - Champaign make it easy to see a
physician when you need one. Convenient Care is open
8:00 a.m. to 8:00
p.m. everyday including weekends and holidays. Walk-ins are welcome.

Carle Weight Management Center
Patients have a number of options for help with weight loss or nutrition management. The
Carle Weight Management Center offers several medically supervised weight control
programs, including Basic Weight Management, HMR at Home, Rapid Weight Loss (using a liquid
supplement), and 3-Plus (a combination of liquid supplement and food). All programs teach
the importance of calorie balancing through proper nutrition and increased physical
activity. Carle's Nutrition Services Department, staffed by a registered dietician,
provides nutrition counseling on a one-on-one basis.
Psychological Services
Four clinical psychologists, one clinical professional counselor, and one psychometrist
provide a variety of psychological services at Carle Clinic-Champaign for individuals and
families of all ages. These professionals assess and treat individuals with a variety of
disorders including, but not limited to:
- Anxiety (including obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, post traumatic stress
syndrome, etc. )
- Anorexia
- Bulimia
- Depression
- Asperger's
- Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
- Adjustment disorders
- Family issues
A variety of therapies are offered including individual, family, group, and animal
