Salary and Benefit Summary: July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010
Salary:
Intern/PGY-1 annual stipend:
$45,018.36 $21.64 hourly rate
PGY-2 annual stipend: $47,214.63
$22.70 hourly rate
PGY-3 annual stipend: $50,072.27
$24.07 hourly rate
PGY-4 annual stipend: $52,575.88
$25.28 hourly rate
Disability:
Short Term Disability is provided through contract as a salary guarantee through
end of the contract year. Information on how to purchase Long Term Disability
through Carle is available from Hospital Personnel.
Pagers and Cell phones
Health & Dental Plans:
Effective first day of residency. Health and Dental insurance plan at no cost
to employee and dependents.
Tax Deferred Annuity:
All residents are eligible for payroll deduction, prior to the computation of
taxes, for purchase of an annuity. Employee chooses type and size.
Three Lab Coats with name and scrubs
Life Insurance:
Residents receive term life of $75,000. Additional $5,000 for spouse and $2,500
for children to age 19 or 23 if full-time resident.
Conference Allowance:
Each resident is sent annually to a course designed to augment their education
with topics and sessions dependant upon resident experience.
Malpractice Insurance: Including
tail insurance
Meals on call
ACLS and ATLS Courses as needed.
Vacation:
Annual paid vacation of two (2) weeks or ten (10) working days. The Chief
Resident is given 5 additional days for interviewing and job investigation
opportunities.
Miscellaneous:
Direct Deposit Paychecks may be deposited directly into savings or checking
account.

Parking: Provided in Doctors’ lot.

Fitness Center $10 initial fee and $5/payperiod
