Quality and Service Report
Carle Foundation Hospital believes quality is the most important part of healthcare. The surest way to meet our mission of improving the health of the people we serve is to provide the highest quality possible – everyday and for every patient. Being Joint Commission accredited is just one way in which Carle has received national recognition for its quality. Delivering nationally recognized quality healthcare, however, starts the moment a patient comes to Carle. From registration to discharge and at all points in between, Carle continuously strives for quality and service excellence. The provision of healthcare generates enormous amounts of information – at the individual level, the aggregate level and everywhere in between. In addition to internal reviews, Carle willingly submits data to industry groups and government agencies for the purpose of clinical benchmarking and quality evaluations. The information provided in this report is offered to educate consumers about healthcare quality and provide a starting point for making informed decisions about health care options. Carle actively participates in several industry and government efforts designed to develop standardized and consumer-friendly ways of defining, analyzing and reporting quality information.
