Carle is home to some of the brightest, most talented medical professionals
and the most sophisticated medical technology available in the region. As
the region’s only Level I Trauma Center, we offer a higher level of clinical
services and technology than any other area hospital.
We also have a nationally recognized cardiovascular program and the region’s
only co-perinatal center for high-risk expectant moms and their newborns.

The Carle Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that owns and operates Carle
Foundation Hospital. This 305-bed facility is a teaching hospital for the University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Medicine. Key services include:

In addition, Carle Foundation Hospital partners with
Carle Clinic Association to offer the Carle Heart Center, the Carle Cancer
Center and Women’s Health Services. Carle Clinic Association is one of the largest private physician
group practices in the country. In Illinois, Carle Clinic Association ranks as the
second largest outpatient facility, with nearly 300 physicians practicing in more than 50
medical and surgical subspecialties. Most, but not all, Carle Clinic
Association physicians are on the medical staff at Carle Foundation
Hospital. Based in Urbana, Illinois, Carle Clinic
