Teen Volunteers

Teen Volunteers get a first hand look at different fields relating to health care needs including clinical, retail, and daycare. From observing Carle employees at work in patient care areas to interacting with families and visitors they are involved in all aspects of Carle.

What will I do as a Teen Volunteer?

Non-Clinical Areas:

• Assist customers at the Gift Shop

• Assist with patient transport

• Deliver food trays to patients

• Care for children at The Caring Place

• Additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor

In Clinical Areas:

• Answer telephones

• Make beds with fresh linens

• Assist with paperwork at the nurse’s station

• Additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor
