Circle of Friends
As a Circle of Friends member, you will have the opportunity to select the gift level that fits your goals and abilities. Your annual gift will make a profound and lasting difference.

By becoming a member of the Circle of Friends, you not only get the satisfaction of making an investment in the health of our community, but you also are recognized and honored in a variety of ways. Your annual membership and benefits are applicable during the calendar year of your gift.

Circle of Friends Annual Levels of Giving

  • Member-$100 to $249 annual gift

  • Sustaining Member-$250 to $499 annual gift

  • Honor Member-$500 to $999 annual gift

  • Patron-$1,000 to $2,499 annual gift

  • Benefactor-$2,500 to $4,999 annual gift

  • Humanitarian-$5,000 or more annual gift


Founder’s Society
The Carle Development Foundation recognizes cumulative lifetime gifts for each member of the Circle of Friends. Supporters who contribute $5,000 or more become members of a select group called the Founder’s Society. The generous gifts of the Founder’s Society enable Carle to remain innovative and responsive to the rapidly changing face of medicine.

Founder’s Society Lifetime Levels of Giving

  • Member of the Scroll-$5,000 to $9,999 lifetime gift

  • President’s Council-$10,000 to $24,999 lifetime gift

  • Distinguished Patron-$25,000 to $49,999 lifetime gift

  • Distinguished Benefactor-$50,000 to $249,999 lifetime gift

  • Distinguished Humanitarian-$250,000+ lifetime gifts


The Margaret Carle Morris Society
In 1918, Margaret Carle Morris made a bequest of $40,000 so Urbana could have its own hospital. Her gift established what became Carle Foundation Hospital and Carle Clinic Association. Membership in the Margaret Carle Morris Society is open to all donors who commit a future gift to Carle.

A commitment to make a future gift can be made in many ways. Examples include making a charitable bequest under a will, giving property to Carle or setting up a charitable remainder trust or charitable gift annuity. Donors can even specify how they want their gift allocated. Please contact The Carle Development Foundation at (217) 383-3021 to ensure your gift intentions are fulfilled.
