Development StaffTheres always something new happening at The Carle
Development Foundation. From events like the annual Carle Golf Open to donor programs like
the Circle of Friends, The Carle Development Foundation staff is always looking for new
ways to improve health care in east central Illinois. Robert Driver, Vice President Robert Driver joined Carle in 2002 after serving as the director of development/major gifts at the Washington Hospital Center Foundation in Washington, DC since 1998. An accomplished professional fundraiser, Robert has worked in the field of development since 1993. With a love for the performing arts, he transitioned from serving as the artistic coordinator for the Opera Theatre of St. Louis to his initial job in development with the University of Missouri College of Arts and Science. At Carle, Robert is responsible for those activities designed to increase philanthropic support. Robert received his bachelors degree in 1986 from the University of Missouri and his masters degree from Indiana University in 1989. He and his wife have two daughters.
Karla Gifford joins The Carle Development Foundation staff after serving as executive director and director of development for the Danville Library Foundation. In her new role, Karla is responsible for advancing major and transformational individual giving as well as membership in the Margaret Carle Morris Legacy Society.
A native of Danville, Karla holds a bachelors of science in business administration from the University of Illinois and has been involved in numerous community and volunteer organizations in Danville. She resides in Danville with her husband and two children.
Cindy received her associates degree from Parkland College and her bachelors degree from Eastern Illinois University. She and her husband have two children.
Pat Madsen returns to The Carle Development Foundation after six years of retirement. Pat joined the Carle family in 1977 as the secretary for a two-person development office and advanced to serve in the roles of Director of Volunteers and Director of Planned Giving. Eighteen years later, Pat left Carle to establish a planned giving program for another healthcare organization and, in 1998, she joined her husband in retirement. In her latest career move, Pat plans to build upon her experience and relationships from her earlier affiliation with Carle. Pat and her husband have two daughters and three grandchildren.
![]() As the Annual Fund Manager for The Carle Development Foundation, Angie is responsible for growing Carle’s base of charitable support. She recommends programs that encourage support from new donors and increase support from current and past donors. In addition to planning mailings and solicitations, Angie manages Carle’s donor support program, the Circle of Friends, and employee giving campaigns. Angie received her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Illinois. She and her husband live in Champaign.
Jennifer Greene’s career includes stints with the University of Illinois Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Paragon Marketing Group in Chicago. In her new role at Carle, Jennifer is responsible for advancing charitable relationships with local and regional businesses, vendors, top admitting companies and foundations. She will also coordinate a number of development functions including the annual Carle Golf Open.
Jennifer received a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and a master’s degree in sports administration, both from the University of Illinois. She lives in her hometown of Champaign. Linda Glazier, Director of Development Communications Linda is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a bachelors degree in journalism and a minor in public relations. She and her husband have two daughters.
